Material
- 12 ounces of wheat fettuccine or linguine
- 2 cups of water
- 2 cups of low sodium vegetable broth

3 garlic cloves, chopped
fresh salt and pepper, to taste
3 ounces of low-fat cream cheese (or Neufschatel cheese)
1-1 / 2 cups sauce paste
1/4 cup of parmesan cheese, grated or to taste

Instructions
- In a pan, combine pasta, water, vegetable broth, onions, basil leaves, garlic, salt and pepper.
- Cover, cook on a medium heat and simmer.
- Remove the cover and continue to cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is cooked and almost all the liquid is absorbed; stir occasionally.
- Remove from heat and mix cream cheese and tomato sauce; Mix until combined.
- Stir in grated parmesan cheese; taste for seasoning and adjust accordingly.
- Serve immediately.
